Holly offers one-to-one lessons in a variety of percussive instruments. She is open to sharing her knowledge and insight with anyone who wants to learn; this has included musicians with training in other melodic instruments wishing to enhance their rhythmic repertoire and improvisation options.

Teaching rates are included below, though these may be revised based on each individual booking.

  • Lessons covering everything from first picking up a drumstick to graded repertoire offered.
  • DBS checked.
  • Based on the outskirts of Manchester.

Holly is a regularly gigging musician and values the importance of allowing students both young and old the structure and time to explore aspects such as choosing their own repertoire and having FUN!

Being someone’s first drum teacher is about one of the biggest privileges there is, and Holly is proud to receive regular feedback that all of her students (aged 8 to 80!) love her fun and patient approach, as well as in some cases finding it more relaxing and comfortable to have a female drum teacher.

For now, students having regular lessons would need to have their own drum kit as there is not yet access to a teaching space. That said, one-off lessons on her personal drum kit in a local space can be arranged with notice.

  • Multi percussion/kit set-ups (which suit independence focused lessons).
  • Cajon (technique, adapted modern grooves, improvisation, independence).
  • Afro-Brazilian percussion instruments including pandeiro, caixa (snare), triangle, mineiro and many more.
Private Tuition in percussion and drum kit

£30 an hour, with additional expenses applied depending on travel distance and time required.

Group lessons may be arranged (for example two students learning together in a shared session at £50 an hour). The best thing is to drop over a message and take it from there…
